Jews back marijuana for medical use
Friday, December 4, 2009 at 1:43PM Is the legalization of marijuana for medical use a Jewish issue?
The Jews who testified this week before the state House of Representatives' Health & Human Services Committee believe it is.
They came out in support of H.B. 1393, which would make Pennsylvania the 14th state to legalize marijuana for limited medical purposes. A battery of doctors, activists and one rabbi came to Harrisburg to support the bill, but Jewish support for the concept goes much deeper than that. The Chronicle will have the whole story in next week's issue.
